QUESTION: When is preventive health care not preventive health care?

Answer: When the health care prevents unintended pregnancies - at least that's the position of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Oh here we go again......If you are a Catholic Bishop and have been pregnant, please continue with the conversation.......if not, sit down and shut up......or find something better to do with the RCC church's money, like feed children and women.......

In the meantime, both sides are making their cases. The bishops - as well as some other conservatives - say that pregnancy isn't a disease and use of birth control is a "personal" or "lifestyle" choice. They also claim that some birth-control pills and other devices are a risk to health.

I have to take issue with this statement......both sides - huh, bishops and conservatives are on the same side.....

I disagree with them on this but you saying ".If you are a Catholic Bishop and have been pregnant, please continue with the conversation.......if not, sit down and shut up" is likle saying if you have not been in combat, shut up about war.

This is not surprising: After all, the Catholic Church opposes artificial birth control on religious grounds

well their catholics can follow those religious rules and should leave the rest of the people to make their own choice!
